St. Christopher (died c. 250), an early Roman martyr and legendary saint, described as extremely tall and strong, sought vainly to serve a king worthy of his strength. Serving first a king frightened by the devil, he abandoned the king for the more powerful devil. After a short time with the devil, he observed the devil’s fear of the symbolic cross and concluded Jesus’ supremacy over the devil. He launched a fearless quest to find the most powerful Jesus uniquely worthy of his service.
Advised by a hermit to pray or fast, as a way to seek Jesus, St. Christopher struggled with how to pray and abstain from food. As an alternative, he volunteered to carry travelers across a tempestuous river where many drowned. One day, when resting by the river, he heard a child’s voice call out “Christopher, come out and carry me across.” Grabbing his staff, he lifted the child to his shoulders and began to traverse the rough river. With each step, the child weighed heavier and currents resisted his stride. In deep waves, Christopher grew afraid that he would lose his step and they would both drown. Exhausted, bewildered and breathless he requested the child’s identity. Today, we honor the popular “Christ-bearer”, St. Christopher, with three Brother Wolf virtue medallions, featuring the images of St. Christopher with staff carrying the Christ Child on his shoulders inspiring both protection and Godspeed in all of our journeys."

I used to buy Sparkle years ago , it was the only brand I bought, but I stopped because they were lower quality than names like Bounty. Recently, before payday I ran out of paper towels and bought this pack before payday so I didn't have to shell out $25 for paper towels. Sparkle i can honestly say has improved immensely in quality, yet still staying reasonably priced. I noticed as soon as I opened one roll it was better quality. They are stronger, much stronger than they used to be. No loose lint like they used to have. They are a bit stiffer in feel compared to Bounty, but still feel soft. Cleaning is the real test for me. The old Sparkle shredded apart as soon as I wet the towel to clean. The new Sparkle is amazing. Gotta say I like it better than Bounty. I used it to clean the bathroom and the towels held up extremely well with being water soaked, used to scrub (friction & pulling). They don't feel thick which i like. Reusable? I'd dunk the towel in water, scrub then rinse the towel and wipe and it held up . Sparkle has improved and won me over!

I recently picked up the Sparkle Pick-A-Size Paper Towels (6 pack) and overall I’m pretty happy with them. The pick-a-size feature is really convenient because you can tear off a smaller sheet for quick spills instead of wasting a full one. For everyday kitchen messes—wiping counters, small spills, or drying hands—they work perfectly well. They’re also reasonably absorbent and the rolls seem to last a decent amount of time, especially when using the smaller sheet sizes. For the price, it feels like a good value compared to some of the more expensive brands. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they’re not quite as thick or strong as the premium paper towels out there.
