Nepenthes are naturally from jungle environments with humidity so regular spraying is essential. Water the pot regularly but not so the plant's roots are sat in water.
Nepenthes need nutrient poor soil. An equal mix of peat moss, perlite and orchid bark is good for monkey cups.
Although it's tempting to feed carnivorous plants, they are very capable of capturing their own food and will consume a surprising amount of flying insects.
